Massey and Ward off to Denmark

Cameron Massey (Wallasey, Cheshire) and Nick Ward (Brocket Hall, Hertfordshire), both members of the England under 18 squad, will represent England Golf in the 54-hole Rudersdal Junior Open at Fureso Golfklub near Copenhagen on 29th – 30th June.

Captains' Charity announced.

The Captain's and Lady Captain's charity is Hannah House in Rothwell. Hannah House is a purpose built self-contained "home from home" styled facility providing planned or emergency short-break care for children with complex health needs.

The AGM took place on Fri. 24th Feb..

Elections for Club President and Committee took place. Vince Johnson was duly elected as the new Club President. Derek Johnson, Kevin Nicholls, Jordan Holroyd and Roy Smith and David Harrison were duly elected to serve on the incoming committee.

Sunday Clutch.

The Sunday Clutch will now resume at the end of January. It will run only once a month through the winter, starting at 1pm on the last Sunday in the month. Register to play by 12:30pm.

Karaoke Nights.

Starting on Thursday 13th October we will be running karaoke nights. Come up to the clubhouse and have a go. The more the merrier.

Commemorative Plaque

Dave Nicklin Plaque

The golf club have installed a commemorative plaque on the putting green. This plaque is dedicated to ex captain and club secretary, Mr. David Nicklin. David was the inspiration to instigate the installation of the putting green and fought tirelessly to see it completed. Today the green is in superb condition. A truly fitting tribute to the man.


There was a ceremony at 1pm on Sunday 3rd July to officially unveil the plaque on the putting green in his memory.
